About Us
A passion for gardens for more than two decades
Who we are
kironno grew out of the conviction that every garden, whatever its size, can become a special place. Founded in Vredendal by passionate gardeners and landscape planners, we specialise in designing small and medium-sized gardens in the Matzikama area and along the West Coast.
Our approach differs from that of conventional garden planners: we see every garden as an ecosystem in its own right that has to be carefully thought through and lovingly put into practice. We consider not only aesthetics, but also ecological relationships, the dry local climate and how the garden will actually be used.
Our values
Sustainability
We rely on indigenous and fynbos plants and water-wise, resource-saving design. Every garden should be in harmony with nature.
Individuality
No two gardens are alike. We develop tailor-made concepts that reflect your personal ideas.
Quality
From the first sketch to the finished planting, we maintain the highest quality standards at every step.
Partnership
We see ourselves as partners to our clients. Open communication and transparent processes are important to us.
How we work
Every project begins with a thorough on-site analysis. We look at the soil, sun exposure, wind and microclimate to create the best possible conditions for your plants with as little water as possible.
Together with you, we then develop a concept that defines different garden zones: areas for relaxing, gardening, playing or simply enjoying nature. Plants are then selected to suit each zone precisely.
During implementation we are on hand to advise you or, if you wish, we coordinate the entire project through trusted local contractors.
